The E Project's Datapacks
Hi.
if you found this repository, no you didn't.
This is the datapacks repository for the Technoblade E Project, and as such, you will find many files that are COMPLETELY UNINTENDED for the public to know at this time.
Please, kindly do not pay much attention to the files at the moment.
We will release the map with these datapacks in due time, but for now, these files are NOT to be viewed.
Why is this public then?
I was having many issues with modifying the datapack files, namely:
- the lack of code highlighting. (panel)
- duplicate windows open, causing some changes to be overwritten and then some. (panel)
- FTP is slow. (SFTP)
- WinSCP does not compare files nicely. (SFTP)
We do not want to purchase a VPS for the sake of the E Project alone, especially because we enjoy using the panel we have.
As such, we are fully relying on Bloom Host's Minecraft tier, which does also come with its own (very reasonable) limitations, namely, the lack of a terminal to access.
I created a mod called GitSyncher for the build server, purely for the sake of synchronizing the datapack files with the server quickly and easily. However, the primary issue with this approach is that we don't have a way to attach new or pre-existing SSH keys onto the server without having to worry about the keys getting wiped, and we'd have to do a bunch of extra stuff too, which I don't believe is worth it.
So instead, a public repository was the way to go.
